The Election Commission (EC) has summoned two upazila chairman candidates for violating the code of conduct. Meanwhile, EC Deputy Secretary Md. Atiyar Rahman.
In the meantime, the EC has asked Enamul Hossain to explain why his candidature will not be canceled due to allegations of violation of the code of conduct against the candidate for the post of chairman in Barguna’s Patharghata Upazila Parishad election. In this case, he will have to appear in the EC at 10:30 am on May 27 and give an explanation. On the other hand, the EC has summoned Abu Ahmed Chowdhury, the candidate for the post of Chairman of Chittagong’s Chandanish Upazila Parishad election, to explain the violation of the code of conduct. He will come to explain on May 26 at 11 am.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) agreed to withdraw the officer-in-charge (OC) of Kushtia’s Daulatpur police station and appoint a suitable officer. Last Friday EC Deputy Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman has sent a letter in this regard to the DIZ of Khulna range.
